Mean Jane “Grace”
Kelby Cloose’s retired show hunter, Grace, is a beloved and accomplished partner who has left her mark. Grace’s elegant presence and impressive performance in the show ring have been a source of pride and inspiration for Kelby. Grace’s “semi-retirement” is a well-deserved rest, and her legacy as a remarkable show hunter will forever shine. Today, Grace has transitioned into a new role as a cherished lesson horse, sharing her wisdom and experience with aspiring riders, contributing to the next generation of equestrians.
Bayhill Like Magic “Magic”
Magic, has an enchanting story. She was initially started under saddle, displaying her intelligence and willingness to learn. However, her journey took a different turn when she joined the broodmare lineup. Magic’s graceful presence and exceptional lineage made her a valuable addition to the Bay Hill breeding program in Pennsylvania. Over the years, she has produced 3/4 Cleveland Bay offspring, carrying on the legacy of her Cleveland Bay lineage. After her successful career as a broodmare, Magic retired from that role to embrace a new adventure as one of our cherished lesson horses. Magic is a beautiful mare, a true testament to her ancestry, sired by the now deceased pure Cleveland Bay Stallion, Tregoyd William, and out of a well-bred Thoroughbred mare, Cryptornate. Her versatility and gentle nature now make her an invaluable teacher.
Mercedes Sweet Dream Amour “Mercedes”
Mercedes, our beloved mini horse, embodies the heart of our lesson program with her gentle demeanor and impressive versatility. Despite her petite stature, she stands tall as a dependable companion for our smallest riders, nurturing their confidence in the saddle with every step. Beyond her role as a reassuring presence, Mercedes surprises us all with her agility and enthusiasm for jumping.
Leon’s Legacy “Léon”
Meet Léon, the charismatic 5-year-old Thoroughbred gelding who brings energy and charm to our equestrian world. Despite his young age, Léon shines as a patient and nurturing partner for riders mastering the art of trotting, guiding them with his steady rhythm and gentle spirit. Léon also has a passion for jumping! With a spring in his step and determination in his eyes, he tackles obstacles with finesse and gusto. Léon is owned by Kevin and is graciously allowed to be used in our program.
Jade
Jade is a real gem in our lesson program, ridden by many for her calm demeanor and adaptability (and her ability to teach riders how to ride straight!). While she’s a reliable mount in the arena, it’s out on the trails where her true passion shines through. Jade genuinely enjoys her job and between hitting the trails, teaching students the basics of jumping, and playing in western games; she continues to be a beloved member of our team, enriching the experiences of all who ride her.
Luna
Luna brings a fiery spirit to our lesson program as the newest addition to our equine family. This spirited mare captivates us with her feisty personality and determination, adding a dynamic energy to our rides. While she may be new to the team, Luna is quick to impress with her intelligence and eagerness to learn. She particularly shines in the arena, where her love for jumping becomes evident; surrounded by a course of jumps, Luna couldn’t be happier.
The Flying Dutchess “Dutchess”
Dutchess, may not be featured as prominently in our lessons, but her past is no less illustrious. She boasts a show record, having graced multiple show venues, including but not limited to WEC Ocala. Dutchess’s impressive performances have demonstrated her exceptional abilities, particularly in the show jumping arena. She’s not just any jumper; Dutchess absolutely loves to jump and is known for her strength in the discipline. With her powerful jumping ability, Dutchess is best suited for advanced riders seeking to further their skills. In addition to her role as a lesson horse, Dutchess is available for sale or lease, providing advanced riders with the opportunity to benefit from her extensive experience and undeniable charm in their equestrian pursuits.
